Happy Birthday with Sketched Acetate Element
I made the number 2 for this card a while back, but finally got to give it to my adorable little nephew this month. I placed it on chevron paper (My Mind's Eye "Fine and Dandy") with mini glue dots behind a few of the polka dots to attach it to the card.
If you've seen my previous post about these sketched acetate elements, you know I used a purple American Crafts Slick Writer (fine tip) marker in my Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder to sketch and cut the number 2 with my Cameo, then added color with more Slick Writer markers and Letraset ProMarkers to the back side. I also added a little Stickles glitter glue to add shimmer, again on the back side.
I kept it simple in an effort to actually get the card made and delivered on time. It's my New Year's Resolution to do better at getting cards actually made and delivered to my family and friends this year. Wait 'til you see my next post where I'll show you what I made to help me do that! (There's a freebie you might like, and you don't even need a Silhouette machine for it.)
The number 2 is from the Silhouette "Block Party" Portfolio CD, and I bought my pack of acetate here. I cut it with heavy cardstock settings (speed 3, thickness 33, blade 3) after sketching.
