I made this card for my friend who lives out of state. We only see each other once a year (if we're lucky), so I like to send an occasional card to keep in touch.
I was feeling in a kind of retro mood (hence the pink and orange color combination). I decided to go with an ombré look for the zigzag stripes. I cut everything out with my Silhouette Cameo, of course, and made the phone and word bubble into chipboard elements. (I layered the cutouts onto identically-cut pieces of thin chipboard I had on hand).
The phone was just a clipart image I found online and traced in Silhouette Studio. The word "hello" is cut from white Silhouette adhesive cardstock (my favorite way to cut letters) using the font Rockwell Condensed. I made the zigzags myself, but the word bubble is from the Word Bubble Collection available to purchase from the Silhouette online store.
I hope you like this card! Here's one more view showing the extra thickness the chipboard gives. This way the card has some depth but is still easy to mail.
